Our Mission
At Sign Access Islands, our mission is to provide education and resources to support mental helath and wellness in our community. We host Deaf Business Awards to Deaf Business Communities.
Our Programs
We offer a variety of programs and services to support mental health, including counselling, support groups and educational workshops.
Director of Sign Access Islands: Michael Rogerson
Since obtaining a Social Enterprise Leadership Degree in 2017 and achieving AET teaching Level 3 and Advocacy Level 2 qualification, Michael has dedicated himself to enhancing communication between Deaf and hard of hearing members of his British overseas community.
His passion for BSL awareness and training through great communication is contagious! He provides a great support for his students as they follow their BSL journeys and he is always available on Zoom meeting for advice, 1:1 tutorials and support.
Consultant
- Michael has 14 years of experience and is Deaf Led who are deaf, and either personal or significant professional experience of deafness.
- If you are looking at making your service or organisation more deaf-aware, we have got the experience, skills and knowledge you need!
- Services range from a short consultation (remotely on Zoom or Teams) to a site visit or online
